Let’s make this tangible:

  • Step 1: Identify the Narrator’s Tone Ask: What tone does your self-talk usually have? Is it critical? Doubtful? Sarcastic? Loving?
  • Step 2: Catch the Script in Action Example: You spill coffee and instantly think, “I’m such an idiot.” STOP. That’s the narrator.
  • Step 3: Flip the Line New Script: “That was an accident. Everyone makes mistakes. Let’s keep going.”
  • Step 4: Write a New Daily Line Write a phrase that matches who you want to be — not who you’ve been.Example: “I make aligned decisions and trust myself.”
  • Step 5: Repeat It Until It’s the Default Voice Use this new phrase every morning in the mirror, or when you notice the old narrator showing up.
